The Sora

There are 2 main tributaries to the “big”  Sora which is formed at Skofja Loka. The Poljanska Sora is the larger tributary at 27 miles in length and a bigger wider valley. The Selska Sora is about 20 miles long and slightly smaller. We fish these tributaries as opposed to the big river and find excellent heads of fish in both. Primarily brown Trout and Danubian Grayling, one also finds the Danubian Salmon (Hucho). Roofed wooden bridges traverse these little rivers, and the beautiful landscape has a less mountainous feel to our other fishing locations. Working hand in hand with the local fishing clubs, we have excellent local knowledge on patterns and the best parts to fish on any given day.
